Much of the following flows from the rich, timely teaching of Sandy Isfeld of Renew Generations Ministry. It’s a word for now.
There’s a divine disruption unfolding across the earth. It’s more than geopolitical. More than economic. It's spiritual. The Lord is shaking everything that can be shaken—not to destroy, but to reveal. And for those with ears to hear, this shaking is not just a crisis. It’s a calling.
Isaiah prophesied, “See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you” (Isaiah 60:2, NIV). And Haggai declared, “‘I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord Almighty” (Haggai 2:7, NIV).
We are not in a season of retreat. We are in a season of refining. And before we can carry Kingdom authority into culture, we must confront what’s been ruling us.
Breaking Strongholds: A Kingdom Framework
Strongholds are spiritual belief systems built on lies. Paul tells us they must be demolished if we are to live in the fullness of Christ’s victory (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). These are not just toxic thoughts—they are structures the enemy uses to keep God’s people passive, afraid, or entangled.
The process of freedom is not mysterious—but it is intentional. We walk people through a six-part framework. First, make sure you have a Scriptural Anchor to base the truth about this stronghold, and then walk through the following:
Recognize the lie or agreement that has taken root.
Renounce the spiritual and generational agreements with that lie.
Repent for partnering with it, consciously or unconsciously.
Remove the stronghold’s influence through prayer and declaration.
Replace the lie with scriptural truth, inviting the Holy Spirit to renew the mind.
Receive fresh identity, clarity, and empowerment.
This is a partnership that creates space for the Spirit of God to do deep work.
Here’s a real life example we recently used, walking through the stronghold of Fear of Man:
😨 Fear of Man
Scripture Anchor: "Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe." —Proverbs 29:25 (NIV)
Prayer: Recognize: Father, I recognize that I’ve cared more about others’ opinions than Yours. Fear of rejection, criticism, or misunderstanding has subtly governed my decisions.
Renounce: I renounce the lie that I need people’s approval to be secure. I break agreement with the spirit of intimidation and the generational tendency to seek acceptance over obedience.
Repent: Forgive me for elevating human opinion above divine instruction. I repent for silencing my voice or changing my actions to stay liked rather than stay aligned.
Remove: In Jesus’ name, I dismantle the stronghold of fear of man. I tear down every emotional tie to popularity, praise, or peacekeeping at the cost of purpose.
Replace: Holy Spirit, anchor my identity in You. Replace fear with boldness, and compromise with conviction.
Receive: I receive courage to obey God, not man. I receive the spirit of sonship, not the spirit of timidity. I am not here to please the crowd — I’m here to please the King.
When strongholds fall, clarity rises. And that clarity opens us to the next phase of this divine disruption: Invitation, Immersion and Impartation.
The Invitation and Immersion into Revelation
Like Moses at the burning bush, we’re being invited into more than an encounter—we’re being invited into alignment.
“When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, ‘Moses! Moses!’” —Exodus 3:4 (NIV)
God gets our attention through disruption. But once He has it, He invites us deeper. He wants to immerse us in His presence and in His word—not just to comfort us, but to commission us.
In Jeremiah 23, the Lord asks:
“Is not my word like fire... and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?” (Jeremiah 23:29, NIV)
His voice is substance—real, weighty, and alive. His word is fire—refining and revealing. And it is a hammer—capable of smashing through every spiritual barrier we thought was permanent. This is the immersion we need: not just spiritual warmth, but spiritual weight. Not just revelation for us, but a hammer through us.
In this immersion, we begin to see what He sees. He reveals not only who He is—but what He’s calling us to. And when clarity comes, the Holy Spirit doesn't leave us empty-handed.
The Impartation and the Sending
Acts 2 was not a one-time event. It was the start of a pattern. Again and again, in Acts, the disciples were filled—not just once, but repeatedly. Each time, it was for the purpose of boldness, clarity, healing, and Kingdom advance.
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…” —Acts 1:8 (NIV)
Likewise with us. When the Spirit fills us, He also forms us into His Ekklesia—called-out ones who carry governmental authority into every domain of culture.
So yes, the world is shaking. Yes, the battle is real. But this is not the enemy’s hour. It is the Lord’s. He is calling His people into alignment, immersion, and activation. He is breaking strongholds, releasing fire, and forging a people who carry His presence with clarity and courage.
Let the shaking refine you. Let the strongholds fall. Let the word of the Lord burn in you like fire and strike like a hammer. And when the Spirit fills you—go. Represent the King. Release His Kingdom.
Because the ekklesia is rising. And history is waiting.
